The Story of Our Shop
It began at a meeting where the pad wouldn’t stay flat. Our founder took notes for a living, and every cheap legal pad he was handed curled at the top, tore ragged at the perforation, and let the pen show through to the sheet below. By the third page the cover had rolled into a tube. He wanted a plain, honest writing pad — ruled, firm, and flat — and found that across India you either bought pads that curled or paid import prices for the privilege of not. So he started sourcing writing pads and legal pads directly from makers who understood that a pad is a working tool, not a novelty.
A working pad earns its keep quietly — heavy enough paper to stop show-through, a perforation that tears in one clean line, and a board that keeps the whole thing flat on any table. Yet solid, fairly-priced writing pads were oddly scarce: curling, bleeding pads at the low end, designer stationery at the high end, and little for the clerk, the student, and the professional in the middle. That middle ground — practical, reliable, sensibly priced paper and pads — is what we built the shop to serve.
Our Inspiration
